Growing in Faith, Learning, and Purpose

Roots Christian School was founded in 2021 by sisters Jill and Jessi as an extension of The Refuge. It began as an Early Learning Center serving students 3 to 5 years old, and those first years were intimate and sweet. It was a beautiful time of seeing how God was positioning the school, the church, and the people involved for where He would lead next.

In 2024, the church and school decided it was time to move in obedience to a God-given dream long held by Pastor Gerry Alston. A school board was created, teachers hired, and Kindergarten was added, followed the next year by 1st through 4th grades.

Each year grades are added and following the leading of God, Roots will continue this expansion until students are graduating from high school prepared to confidently move forward into the next steps of life!
